About
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others. I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.Subscribe

this is silly yet beautiful depending on the metaphor you choose to use. brilliant.
Wow. Particularly nice.
Have been thinking about this one, but I’m not sure I understand it. Much weakness calls for little mercy? Much mercy demands little weakness? Moderate weakness correlates with moderate mercy? I’m no math wiz, so maybe I’m way off base. I’m a fan of the artist, maybe I should add.
All guidance appreciated.
If you look at ‘less weakness’ as ‘more strength’: the stronger you are — strength not just physically but very much emotionally / mentally — the more able you are to naturally offer mercy. If you feel strong, secure, then you’re more likely to just naturally offer help, forgiveness, mercy.
If you think about it from the other extreme, a person who is “highly weak” emotionally (depression, addiction, low self-esteem, etc.) is able to naturally offer little mercy — this person would rather jump on the other, perhaps to make themselves feel better, feel less weak.
Very helpful. Thanks much.
A fluid ounce of prevention: It may be a testament to my dismal state of mind that many of your recent cards draw my attention to my own personal shortcomings. For instance, there are people about whom I have said “I wouldn’t piss on that bastard if he were on fire”. But I see now that my thinking is wrong headed, an approach lacking any shred of mercy. Perhaps I need a new attitude. Maybe the the right thing to do is to piss on the bastard before he bursts into flame, to keep him from catching fire in the first place. Thanks for helping me to work that out. I feel better already.
