Actually, “B” is a bell curve.

  2. Phil says:

The axis could be reversed and have an interesting related implication.

There are certainly exceptions — I’ve known some extremely human MDs — but yes, there are also jerks in that field too (the latter in my experience seem to congregate around emergency medicine, but it’s too small and biased a sample to justify extrapolation).

is jerkiness referring to the person in need of help or the person who is willing to help? I think it could go both ways. If youre a jerk most people wont want to help you. but a doctor may be more likely to cuz theyll think you have a lot of money. or maybe she meant it both ways

  7. Hodge says:

The jerk axis also overlaps with the amount of narcotics consumed on a daily basis by the person in question.

  8. dan99iel says:

A lot of people didn’t get this bit:

Jerkiness as in convulsing (Movement). Like shaking.

  9. Bret says:

    certainly has been my experience

  10. Isherwood says:

Dan99iel has it right. I thought of MJF (one of only two people I know of with Parkinson’s).
