Powder won’t change who you are.

This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others. I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

You, too can earn a living with visuals.

Truth in its purest form.

I once knew a very pretty girl that wore lots and lots of makeup. Then I saw her one morning without any makeup at all. And she was beautiful.

Amen. That’s all that need be said.

I would even suggest adding a third axis for surgeries… No amount of powder, laser treatments, silicone, or collagen changes who you are, only tries to hide it from both yourself and everyone else.

what, no girls? =P

agreed.

I agree with the sentiment behind this drawing. This graph doesn’t make any sense as there is no actual graph, just a set of axes.
To make it accurate, a horizontal line should be drawn (or data points along a horizontal line) OR the vertical axis should be revised to read ‘Change in How good you look.’
Great post, I wish more people felt this way.

fuckin A

I’d like it more if the Y axis was something like “How beautiful you are”, but it’s a great sentiment.

beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes right down to the bone…
— or more accurately the soul.

Love Indexed! including today’s. I hate to be picky but as I teach undergraduate statistics: no correlation should be a bunch of dots all over the place that has no best-fit line!

I’m glad I haven’t been wasting my time over the years.

I liked this a lot.
I’m a chick who doesn’t wear makeup (or perfume), but I still take a looong time to get ready for everything. It’s not that I’m trying to make myself look “prettier”, it’s just that I shower regularly and love knowing that I’m not a stinky or hairy person. I enjoy my showers. I guess I tend to focus more than my boyfriend on how clean I am. Should I cut back every now and then and allow myself to get a little grody to save a bit of time? (I know I went off topic with what I had to say, but I’m just trying to defend myself and the others who don’t necessarily wear “powder.”)
