This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others. I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

You, too can earn a living with visuals.

Too true. It seems like those who deserve the accolades are always getting the majority of the jeers.

Where would masochists be on this graph?

Wait, am I supposed to be the one delivering or receiving the insults? Or both?

Professional insults are less hurtful than amateur ones. Amateur insults are mean. Professional ones are artful.

“Too true. It seems like those who deserve the accolades are always getting the majority of the jeers.”
Or they get nothing at all.

Or… professionals get plenty of insults but deal with it with relatively little injury. Whereas the hobbyists are just rather whiny about minor infractions. The relation between insults received and offenses taken could be considered a true hallmark.

Wow.
Must keep this in mind…

I actually interpreted this as:
Professional insulters deliver more insults with less resulting pain (to their own person) while hobbyist insulters end up in immense pain after only a few insults.
It’s all in what people come to expect from ya ;-D

And being a professional hobbiest is adding insult to injury.
Boya.

Er, I read this entry this way:
when I injure myself as a hobbyist (we say DIY here in the UK) I very rarely swear as one or other of my family members is likely to be around; when I’ve got a professional plumber round to fix a leaky pipe, straight away he’ll be swearing “What XXX idiot installed this in the first place” etc, with only minor injury to himself.

I think it suppose to say that ‘you can’t be professional whithout frustrations.’
