Oh so that’s what the “don’t eat the yellow snow” thing was all about! I thought it might have been as culturally inscrutable as “drinking the Kool Aid”, but unlike the latter I never did bother checking it up at Wikipedia.
I fear for those who must have to communicate with us while learning English as a foreign tongue. We make it hard enough just between ourselves!

I always thought it was an Inuit aphorism. Similar in fact, to the more southern Canadian question regarding large ursine beings defecating in the forest.
Yellow Snow is also the name of a delicious beer from Rogue Brewing in Oregon (home of the Dead Guy Ale. They Rogue makes fabulous beer!)
I have never had the privelege of spelling my full first name…however my intials have been engraved in many a snowpile.
