Happy news!
It’s time for an update on the Indexed-related endeavors that you’ve all helped make possible. The Internet continues to be a land of opportunity for doodle elves such as myself, and I have news!
A lot of you lovely folks are my friends on twitter, so you may have seen some of these links floating along in your stream, but I wanted to let everyone know about a few of the insanely fun things I’ve been up to.
Indexed has recently been featured in two books, “Information Graphics,” from Taschen Publishing, and also in “I Love Charts: the Book,” from Sourcebooks.
I’m also writing (and drawing, of course) for Forbes. I’m perversely excited to tell you that one of those articles has been optioned to become a full-length, fully illustrated book. “How to Be Interesting” will be published by Workman Press in early 2013.
I’ll be sure to keep you updated as the book progresses. And yes, there shall be giveaways and other related fun. If this post were a silent film, right about now is where I’d laugh manically as I lash a small girl to the train tracks.
When I’m not cartooning for one of my marvelous and better-looking-than-average clients (ahem), I also draw and paint and noodle on all sorts of things over at my other site (yes, sometimes I need to work in non-chart formats in order to preserve my sanity).
So if you’re working on a nifty project and think I could help you with it, let me know. In fact, if you need anything, just ask. I owe each and every one of you a heartfelt thank-you for enabling me do this for a living.
Hooray for the internet, where anything can happen—and thankfully does,
Much love,
-jessica
