Should it be “seen as ugly” or “seen as beautiful”? Since beauty for one person is not always beauty for the next.
I guess “eye of the beholder” is where beautiful and ugly overlap.
Nope. Ugly is pretty universal. Sadly.

Superficially – yes.
Also pretty universal is the eye of the beholder. Not that sad, actually.
Hey, there seems to be a slight problem with threading. My reply was to Fluidly Unsure (and what a beautiful name this is! :-) )
Step into a middle school anywhere in the world. Which kids do you think will get picked on. The attractive ones? I don’t think so. Natural selection is such a bummer.
