I really want my office to do a casual Friday so I can show up in a suit. Or perhaps white tie. Or something else completely random…
I did some temp work for a bank many, many years ago.
Someone sent out a memo, listing in detail, and by brand, what was “acceptable” for casual Fridays.
My only thought was, “Whoever wrote this memo should be fired–they obviously don’t have enough *real* work to do.”
Bonus irony: the location was, for security reasons, a secret. No visitors allowed. No company name or anything on the outside of the building. So, the only people who ever saw you were fellow employees. But you still had to dress like you “worked at a bank”.
Casual Friday? For a real improvement in office morale, how about Casual Sex Fridays?
That would be a workplace with Benefits.
We used to have to pay to be casual on Friday. I think the money went to …. can’t remember.
