    Of course, the worse your sense of direction the more time you spend lost and thus the more roads you travel. So I think the graph should be a “U” shape instead.

    I read this as more metaphorical, so the axes are correct for me. The more and different choices you make in life give you a better sense of purpose. …and it has echoes of Robert Frost’s poem as well.

    I like the roads traveled being the independent variable. Also I particularly like that the graph is parabolic implying a greater than linear relationship between the two.
